Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
Determine the point at which a patient with coronary artery disease should be managed with drug therapy after lifestyle modifications have been implemented
Identify LDL-C goals for individual CAD patients according to both current recommendations and emerging data from major clinical trials
Recognize the importance of diagnosing and treating outlying lesions in addition to the culprit lesion in a patient presenting with acute myocardial infarction
Ascertain when a patient's treatment may need to extend beyond current guidelines and where to obtain proper guidance for such therapy and ongoing management

Intended Audience: primary care physicians, cardiologists, endocrinologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners
