Lipidhealth.org
Corner
Recent improvements and a more user-friendly look to the website
of the National Lipid Education Council have elicited positive feedback
from visitors to the site. The homepage now offers more navigational
tools than before and links users directly to the section they want.
SPOTLIGHT: The newest series of interactive case studies
is now online and ready for your participation! This challenging
CME activity is one of the most visited areas of lipidhealth.org.
Each series features two case studies and offers 1 hour of CME credit
(AMA and AAFP). Test and expand your knowledge while obtaining credit
without leaving your home or office. You'll be challenged as to
how you treat these patients, from first presentation through follow-up
management. The section will expand throughout 2002.
Among many other interesting highlights on the NLEC website:
 |
Slide Library: We have one
of the most extensive and inclusive slide libraries in the industry.
Feel free to browse or download slides, notes, or both on a
variety of topics relating to cholesterol lowering, lipids,
and cardiovascular issues in general. |
 |
LipidManagementâ„¢ Newsletter: Read our
quarterly newsletter online, whether it's the most recent issue
or any archived issue. You can also take the end-of-the-year
posttest for CME credit. It's timely information; it's interesting
reading; and it's convenient for the busy clinician. New this
year is the patient-education page, entitled Considering
Cholesterol. |
 |
Current Literature: Here
you'll find abstracts on the latest and most influential cardiovascular-related
articles arranged by topic. In most cases, links are supplied
to the full text. There also is an updated keyword section that
enables you to go directly to specific topics. |
 |
Interactive Polls: Take our surveys and
see how your vote compares with those of your colleagues. (See
above) |
 |
More: lipidhealth.org also offers a CD-ROM
presentation, daily news articles by Reuters, helpful resources,
