SPOTLIGHT: Patient-education materials. The list of topics explored in FACTS ABOUT… keeps growing. These easy-to-read handouts include the facts that patients need to know to promote good cardiovascular health. They're designed to spark communication and save physicians time spent in educating patients. Check the website for the latest materials on coronary heart disease risk factors and dietary fats. These are in addition to handouts concerning cholesterol and hypertension, which are already posted on the site. Download the PDF files for a color version, ready to be copied and distributed.

	Interactive Case Studies: The following cases have just been posted: "69-Year-Old Female With Diabetes and Hyperlipidemia," authored by Stephen R. Crespin, MD; and "60-Year-Old Postmenopausal Female With Claudication and Chest Pain," authored by Alexandra J. Lansky, MD. Both Drs Crespin and Lansky are members of the NLEC. These cases bring to 12 the number posted on lipidhealth.org exploring topics such as the ATP III guidelines, conditions including hypertension and diabetes, and special populations such as older adults and younger teenagers.
	Current Literature: The library continues to grow, with abstracts on important cardiovascular-related topics.
